FUNDRAISING - game day
This year, my school got the idea of having a cow pooping contest. Mark off 100 squares on your football field. Sell each square for 10 dollars and have a big prize. Give the winner 50 dollars or try to have prizes donated. You can have about 4 winners if you want. Put a cow on the football field and where ever it poops then the person with that square gets a prize. Hope it works for you!

We held a BBQ before a varsity football game. The touchdown club helped us. We were able to get everything donated. It was a big sucess!!

Best seat in the house! Ask a furniture store to donate a chair or love seat if possible. Sell the tickets for $1 during the JV game or girl's game (if a double header). During the last two minutes of warm-up for the varsity game, draw a name. This person gets to sit in the best seat (if you have a love seat, they get to choose someone to sit with them). They also get popcorn, a pop and their name entered into the drawing to be held at the end of the season to win the chair (if the store is willing to give it away). The chair is placed on the sideline or on the stage if you have a small gym. You'll make lots if you do it for both men's and women's basketball games.

We like to make food like burritos and tacos and sell them to our fans. We have had great success with this.
-Nannette
You can also take a head shot of football players and make spirit buttons put their number on streamers with either bells or small footballs and sell them to moms or girlfriends. This has been a great fundraiser for us.

We (the J.V.) on the nights of the Varsity games paint faces for the people that come to the game. It is like we have our school colors and some glitter. But just like go and get the paint for cheep. Have a list of football players numbers incase some one wants a number on there face. Set up the table outside that gate so they will still have there money out. Charge $1.75 or whatever for big paint jobs and like .75 for just a number. We also have a jump-a-thons. We go around from door to door and ask some one to pledge a certain amount for every jump we can do in 30 seconds.

We sell red ribbons that say stuff like, "chew eagle stew," and "paint the panthers." We also sold those little pom-poms for the people in the stands. We also sell $5 tickets for carwash tickets. Even if they don't want their car
washed they'll usually give a donation to our squad.

My squad made a jail that we kept in the quad during games. If someone paid $2.00 and told us who they wanted in jail, we would go round them up. Then the person in jail would have to have someone bail them out for a dollar or pay us from their pocket. It was really successful.

During football games we sell little hornet tattoos. (Hornets are our mascot.) Everyone wants to get one because all of the cheerleaders wear one and they also want to support their school. We just keep a little cup of water by our coach and she collects the money and the cheerleaders not cheering at the time put them on for everyone. The thing is to wear it on your cheeks. It's really a fun idea!

What my school does, is we buy these pom poms of our school colors for .67 cents each and then we sell them to the football or basketball crowd for $2.00. We make a huge profit

We just started selling spirit shakers for $1.00 each and we are making a killing. We take old soda cans, spray paint them our school colors, and add on glitter, school sayings, stars etc. Put some beans, pop corn kernels or pebbles in them and use masking tape over the hole on the top of the can. Then we take colorful tinsel and other things and hot glue them to both ends. We can't produce them as fast as we are selling them at the games. In one night we made $150.00 profit and sold out before half-time!!!

Raffles
During a few games, we collected $1.00 ea for raffle tickets and gave each person the part of the ticket with the number on it. Every person could buy as many tickets as they wanted. Then we drew the winning ticket number from the coffee can and the winner won 1/2 of the pot of cash. Most of the people were generous enough to go ahead and donate it all to the Cheerleaders!!

This is a great fund raiser for any holiday. Have a raffle for a basket full of holiday goodies. The tickets could cost about $1.00.

We have a fundraiser called the "Money Run." We sell raffle tickets before the basketball game. The winning ticket is drawn at halftime. The winner has a set amount of time to run around the whole gym and pick up as many dollar bills as he can. We put out some fake money, just to make it a little funny! The crowd loved this and it was an easy way to make money!

We do a calendar raffle, all you have to do is make up a ticket with name, phone etc. and sell for it $5.00 each. This is how it works: You sell the tickets for a couple of months then you pick the month you want to use. Each day you give away a certin amount of money. For example, one day $25 another day $50, up to a grand prize of maybe $250.00 Each time that person wins his ticket goes back in the raffle so they have up to 30 or 31 chances to win. This raffle cost us about $50.00 to print and it made us in two months $7500.00. We gave away about $1500.00 so we profited $6000.00 not bad for a cheap raffle. Just give the kids some incentives. We gave $150.00 to the kid who sold the most tickets.

Have a raffle for the whole school. Charge a dollar per person until a specific date. Then pick a ticket out of a hat, bingo machine, etc. Who ever wins will get to share in the coaches plans for one practice and they get to go out
to dinner with them to a place like Pizza Hut or Rudy's, etc.
-Knights
During every home game we set up a cake table in which we sell cake raffle tickets, 5 for a $1.00 or $0.25 a piece.
We also take pictures of all of the sports players. Using a button machine which makes the pictures into buttons and sell those for $3.00 a each. We are always in demand for these items and make great money at every home game.
