OLD UNIFORMS
We keep uniforms from year to year, but after so long we have uniforms that we no longer wear. We sell these pieces at games for $10.00/piece (or $5.00...it doesn't matter since it's all profit anyway). Lots of little girls buy them and have them altered to wear to games! Anything you sell is PURE PROFIT. This works great for pom poms that are no longer used, etc!!

GIFT CERTIFICATES
We bought a $100.00 gift certificate from the local grocery store and sold tickets at the front door for a drawing. We sold 1 ticket for $2.00 or 3 for $5.00. We sold the tickets for 6 weeks and made over $3,000.00. This really helped with purchasing our uniforms.
   ~ Renee

RECIPE BOOK
This fundraiser is an easy way to make money, not only with the family of participating cheerleaders, but with the community as well. All the cheerleaders and football players are asked to type up 5 of their favorite recipes. Designate a couple of parents to put the recipes together and make a cookbook with each athlete's name at the bottom of his/her recipe. Everyone wants a copy of something with his/her name on it. Sell the cookbooks to family members or anyone else for $5.00 each.

POPCORN MEGAPHONES
A good way to raise money is to sell popcorn at games. Instead of using the traditional baggie, we bought mini-megaphones and filled them with popcorn. It was a big hit. We sold them for about $2.00 a piece. Just think, you could eat a snack at a game then holler for you team!!
  ~ Courtney

DOUGHNUTS
A good idea for a fundraiser is selling doughnuts from your local grocery store or from Krispy Kreme doughnuts. They are a big hit! We made tons of money selling them and everybody seems to like to buy them! Good Luck Everybody!
   ~ WJH Cheerleader

COWBELLS
Our squad was in need of some new megaphones so we decided to buy some cowbells and paint them our school colors with school sayings. We sold them for $3.00 and made a killing. We wound up with more than enough money. It was awesome. Now who ever bought one brings them to every single game and we get a kick out of seeing all of the guys ringing big old cow bells.
  ~ Stephanie

FUNNEL CAKES
We sold funnel cakes at the ball games to raise money for our baseball team. They were easy to make and very inexpensive. Everyone loved them!
  ~ Susie

COOKIE DOUGH/FLOWER BULBS
I've organized several fundraisers selling cookie dough and flower bulbs for girls teams all of which made $1000.00 to $2000.00 and several hundred dollars in cash sales bonuses for the girls in 2 weeks or less.
  ~ Scott Armstrong

ADVERTISING
Our awesome squad decided to raise money by selling ads in our own cheerleading yearbook. Lot's of area businesses took advantage of the cheap advertising and we made a killing. It's a lot of fun seeing the turn out and everyone gets a copy. We also do car washes, yard sales, bake sales, or all the above together in one massive blow out. My idea was to have a young Cheerleader Christmas clinic for while parents are shopping we watch the kids and teach them cheers.
  ~ Jessie

MINI-POMS
What my school does, is we buy these pom poms of our school colors for .67 cents each and then we sell them to the football or basketball crowd for $2.00. We make a huge profit
   ~ Jennifer

SPIRIT SHAKERS
We just started selling spirit shakers for $1.00 each and we are making a killing. We take old soda cans, spray paint them our school colors, and add on glitter, school sayings, stars etc. Put some beans, pop corn kernels or pebbles in them and use masking tape over the hole on the top of the can. Then we take colorful tinsel and other things and hot glue them to both ends. We can't produce them as fast as we are selling them at the games. In one night we made $150.00 profit and sold out before half time!!!
   ~ S.P.

LOLLIPOPS
At our school we found a really good fundraiser where you buy cases of these huge suckers and you sell them for a dollar. Every other month the cheerleaders sell the suckers, they only cost $1 a piece and they come in tons of flavors. Each month the kids at our school are always racing to get tons because they are a candy all teachers let you eat (and sell) in class.

GLAMOUR SHOTS
One fundraiser our squad did this year was sell glamour shots. The pictures were 14.95 for hair, make-up, and a free 4 x 6 picture. We also had the option of buying other pictures. If our squad sold over 50 we got the whole 14.95. We sold tons of pictures and made a killing.
   ~ Jacqueline

CANDY LEIS
At my school we make candy leis (using Werther's). All you do is get ribbon in your school colors (i.e. purple and white) and tie about 20 together. We sell them for $2.00 and they're super popular for basketball games.

TAILGATE PARTY
We had a tailgate party before a home game. Our local grocery stores donated hot dogs and buns. We had McDonald's punch and a Potato Chip company donated bags of chips. The band played and sold a hot dog, chips and drink for $1.00! Lots of people came before the game and ate. We had no money invested it was all donations. There were a few dads who fired up the grills and we were ready to go! We made close to $200.00 because lots of people gave us more than a $1.00.
   ~ Leslie Wiseman

RUMMAGE SALE
We hold a rummage sale! We have all the girls bring stuff that they don't want and put a price on it. We hold it in our student parking lot (and once at one girls house). It always turns out great! Hold it on a Saturday morning!!! We've made as little as $300!!! Have fun with it! Another easy fundraiser that we do is a 50/50 raffle! For a dollar per ticket the crowd buys a ticket to win half of all the money we make from before the game to just before half time (when the # is called). We keep the other half of the money. We call the # right after we perform our half-time routine!
  ~ Brittany L.

CARNATIONS
The week before our pep rally, we sold carnations (our school colors) for a dollar each and delivered them on Friday, during homeroom.
  ~ Elizabeth

CANDY SNACKS
At our school we (the cheerleaders) sell candy during lunch. We usually sell stuff like Air Heads, Oatmeal Cakes, Reese Cups, Popcorn, and Blow Pops.
  ~ Anonymous

ICE CREAM
My squad had to get some money and fast. So we held an ice cream sell during our lunches. We sold a cone for a $1.00. We held it all week and made a lot of money.
   ~ Madeline

FLOWERS
This year we had a flower sale. All the girls went out and sold pretty flowers to family and friends. It was fun and we earned enough for our uniforms!
  ~ Ameron

ROOT BEER FLOATS
Our squad sold root beer floats to raise money in a hurry! We sat in front of our local grocery store over the summer and sold them for $2.00 a piece. We took shifts, and raised almost $400 in about 8 hours.
  ~ Anonymous

SPAGHETTI DINNER
My team has a spaghetti dinner. We make a list of things we need and send it to different stores. Then they donate all the stuff to us. This year we made over $500.
  ~ Allison

BARBEQUE COOKOUTS
During the summer, before any sports begin, we have cookouts. We usually have two a month (June, July, and early August.) We hold them in the grocery store parking lot. We have a big grill set up and we grill hamburgers, hot dogs, cheeseburgers, and polish sausages. Along with that we have cold soda, all the fixings, and popsicles if it warm. It's a big hit and we always get a big turnout. Ask your local grocery stores to donate some grocery bags for large orders. And have "curb-service" for elderly people or people that just don't want to get out of their car. It always makes us a ton of money for the seasons, uniforms, shoes, etc.
  ~ Kym

LANYARDS
One of the awesome ideas that we've had for a quick way of making money, are the lanyards which say "Upper Dublin Cardinals" or "UD Cheerleaders" for about $5. During spirit week the varsity and JV sell tattoos that everyone wears that say "Fighting Frosh," "Super Sophs," "Jamin' Juniors" and "Slamin' Seniors." We also have the "Fighting Cardinals!" They sell for 25 cents and we always sell a ton!
