PEP RALLIES - dress up

We usually have a hard time getting our crowds involved, the only time they really enjoyed our pep rallies was when we pretended we were cheerleaders from the rival school. We had groups of two stretching (one layed down and another sat on top and we used a different body with different legs and stretched all kinds of crazy ways). It's really funny if the person under you makes her legs go crazy! Then we had the cheerleaders put on makeup. One cheerleader was behind a sheet and the other had her hands behind her back so the one that couldn't see put the makeup on. Then we showed them making and eating food using the same makeup contest. People couldn't stop laughing. They especially loved the finale to that pep rally, we had a spirit cake. A guy from each grade sat on a chair (make sure you cover the floor) and we poured flour, eggs, whipped cream, milk and sprinkles all over them. The person with the most yells won!
-Susan

Once for a pep rally, the cheerleaders asked the football player's mothers for the boy's pajamas, blankets and also their stuffed animals. Then on the day of the pep rally the cheerleaders dressed up in those clothes and walked out on the gym floor. The crowd had to guess whose pajamas they belonged to. It was a lot of fun and it got the crowd really excited.
-Rachel

We made holes in pillowcases and put them on our heads and arms and put a belt around our knees so we could only kick our feet. It doesn’t take to long to make up a dance and the crowd loves it.
-Shawna

Our cheerleaders always get to pick dress-up days. We almost always have camouflage day because it's so fun. The cheerleaders always dress in camouflage pants, army boots and gray shirts that say ARMY on them. It's really cute. The whole middle school dresses for the day and then the cheerleaders announce the best dressed girl and boy. It's a lot of fun.
-Ash

At our school we had a Miss C-R-M-S contest! We had the 8th grade cheerleaders dress the guys up like girls! We did their make-up, hair (wigs) and got them old clothes and dressed them up! Then we gave them girl names! Jaden was Jada, Daniel was Danielle and Brandon was Brandy! Then we brought one out one at a time and who ever got the most applause won! The crowd loved it and so did the guys!
-Kara

One year at our senior pep rally the topic was "A Star is Born". Two minutes before the students were released to go to the gym we put the sound of a new born baby crying over the intercom so that the whole school could hear it. When everybody got into the gym we shut the lights off and put the spotlight on our school mascot dressed in a nurse's uniform and announced that a star is born. For our skit the seniors lined up at the end of the gym and had a relay race in which they had to crawl from station to station put on an adult diaper and bib, eat a full plate of apple sauce, drink a bottle of apple juice and then put a soft basketball in a baby goal. It was hilarious and the whole school loved it.
-Brittany

For one of our pep rallies we decided that we'd had enough fun making the boys dress in drag, so each cheerleader picked two of her best friends to dress her as a boy. The cheerleaders all had on their boyfriend's jerseys. The cheerleader that won had her hair stuffed up with a rubber-band under a baseball cap, and since the jersey was so long, she just wore a bodysuit underneath!! No wonder the boys voted for her!!
-Nikki

One of my favorite things to do is to have the guys on the football team dress up like girls, and say that they are the most beautiful girls from the rival school and have a beauty contest. Its crazy and lots of fun to see how weird the guys look as girls.
-Lauren

At one of our pep rallies we had cheerleading tryouts. One guy and two girls from every grade came down on the gym floor, where they were handed make-up and an old cheerleading uniform. The two girls helped the boys get ready in one of the locker rooms. After they were ready we brought them out to tryout in front of the entire student body. It was one of our best skits ever! (hint: everyone on the squad bring old make-up to give to the boys)
-Shawna
This year our Boys Varsity Soccer team had the 2 captains and 3 others on the squad dress up as the spice girls and dance to a mix of the songs!! It was really cute and the whole student body loved it!!
-Tiffany

We had the senior cheerleaders put on their cap and gowns (which represented them at graduation) and we had one of the other cheerleaders dress up as a grandma (looking at an old photo album), two in dresses getting ready for the prom, and one with pigtails, a blankie and other baby stuff, and one was supposed to be one of them as a teenager looking at her favorite picture. We had a few other people too. It was really sad, but the seniors really liked it.
-Jennifer

One week one of our coaches decided that he was tired of getting picked on and he thought it was the cheerleaders turn to be part of the skit. He got all of the materials and had a beauty pageant where the boys fixed us up. They used mousse, lipstick, hair rollers, etc. Then our head coach sang "You Are So Beautiful" to us and they voted on who looked the best. The crowd loved it, but most of all the football team loved it because we got embarrassed for once.
-Julie

At one of our pep rallies, we decorated the whole gym like a graveyard with the names of all the teams we play on the tombstones and all the cheerleaders and the announcer dressed in black. When everyone came in, the cheerleaders walked up one by one by a coffin. We had made and laid flowers by the grave, then the announcer said something like, "Let's have a moment of silent please."
-Bryt

Every year for the homecoming pep rally the SMC (senior Men's Club, usually consisting of some of the football players and other macho type guys) use the cheerleader's skirts and tops from previous years (or the current year if any of you don't mind getting your uniform stretched out) and some might dress in spandex or exercise outfits. None of them match real well. Anyway, they are supposed to be the cheerleaders and poms. They wear wigs and make-up, too! They make up dances and cheers and they try to stunt and usually fall. It's hilarious to watch them do kicks and toe touches and stuff (most of them are actually pretty good at it!) The school body goes crazy and it always makes a picture in the yearbook! Really, it's the main reason people go to the pep assembly! And you can do it with teachers too!
-Kelsey

We had 5 football plays dress up as girls. They were the pep-rally homecoming queen nominees. It was cute. We picked a winner by whoever got the most applause. The team and the student body loved it!

Near the end of the school year we have Homegoing week to say bye to the seniors. There are dress up days and senior field day. The last day, the underclassmen have to wear black because they are mourning and the seniors wear white because they are starting a new period in their life. The funniest part is the pep rally where junior and senior guys wear cheerleading uniforms all day and cheer, including building and a dance routine. The girls play a powder puff game that night and wear football uniforms to school. The student body selects 6 guys, like the homecoming court, to put on dresses and make-up at the game, and a Homegoing queen is selected. It is a great way to end the year and say bye to the seniors.
-Sunny

We blind folded the football players and they got spun around. Then we had a pile of women's clothing at the other end of the gym. The players had to run against each other and put on one piece of clothing at a time. It was hilarious and the whole school got a big kick out of it.
-Heather

Put funky clothes in the middle of the gym. Pick 2 teams for a basketball game. The players go center court and put on an article of clothing then go down and shoot. The winners are the first dressed basketball team.
-Dianna

One of our funniest pep rallies involved the cheerleaders acting like on of the basketball players. Each one got a shooter shirt from the guy she picked and the guys got a tee shirt that the girl made him. The guys came out doing the school song. They were announced as the cheerleader's name and did a kick or a jump. Next, the girls came out and were a bad version of our boys team. Each girl demonstrated something that the basketball team does, but the didn't do it good. Ex: We had a guy who shoots 3's good. The girl shot the 3 but missed it by a mile.
Another time, the dance team taught the basketball team a dance to some Backstreet Boys song. It was similar to the dance team's and was hilarious to watch!

We had a teacher's squad where the cheerleaders dressed up in old cheerleading uniforms and did cheers! It was really funny! Also, during football season, we had a flag football team for the little kids (I go to a PK-12 school), complete with a spirit squad of cheerleaders. They WERE SOOO CUTE!! and everyone loved it! We learned this cheer for them at camp. It goes C-U-T-E They've got personality, They're cute oh yeah They're cute They're darlin!
-Katie

On our first pep rally we picked out 12 football players and dressed them up in cheerleading uniforms, then they did two cheers "Hot to go" and "Pirates Unlimited". At another pep rally we had 6th graders come up on stage and lip sing to three different songs. We also had a M&M eating contest. After they took the second bite (they were blindfolded) we stuffed a bowl of whip cream in their face (HAHA!). Another thing we did was have a "Wrap Up A Victory" contest. We gave players 2 minutes, a coach, toilet paper, and a chair. They were seeing who could do the best wrapping job on the coach with toilet paper. They looked like mummies!! We had so much fun at those pep rallies, we had the Junior High School band, the cheerleaders did dances, cheers, contest... it was great.
-Kristi

At one of our pep rallies we did a squatie bodies show on how to put on make-up. First half of the cheerleaders go behind the curtain, while the other half sits in front of the curtain with their arms behind their back(make sure that they are really close to the curtain). Then the cheerleaders behind the curtain, put their arms out of the curtain so it looks like its really their arms. The announcer starts explaining exactly how to put on the make-up while the other cheerleaders listen and put the make-up on them. The funny part is that they can't see their faces so the make-up goes all over.
