PEP RALLIES - food games

Have two people from each class come down to the floor. Tell them you will be putting eggs all over the floor and they must walk across the gym floor without stepping on them. Let them see you set the eggs out and then blind fold them. After they are all blind folded, take all of the eggs away. Have them walk across the floor. You can also tell the people they have to step really high or have to walk like a chicken.
-Amy

We had a theme called "Fishing for a Win." We started out with a skit of 2 people fishing. One person from our team and one from the opponent's. Our opponent threw his rod out and got a boot/shoe, then our guy got a sign that said "WIN" on it. So, she jumped up and down all excited and such. Then we had a fish game where we bought 3 to 4 dozen goldfish. We got two people from each class to participate. We put 8 goldfish in 4 different bowls and set them out with a bowl of peaches near them. We had one person go behind a wall and explained that they were to take a fish out of the fish bowl, put it into another bowl and take a cut up peach dipped in olive oil and feed it to their person. Their partners thought they were getting fed the fish because they were blindfolded. They were actually being fed peaches. The first person to feed all their fish/peaches to their partners wins.

At my school we have a contest called have your cake and eat it too!! We pick 1 person from each grade who has his/her birthday that month, and they have to go up and eat a piece of cake without using their hands. The first one done wins free movie passes!! It's a lot of fun!!!
-Caitlin

Have all the homecoming court king candidates get on their knees in the middle of the gym floor. You might want to put down something if you are in a gym. Have each of the guys peel and eat a grapefruit without using their hands.
-Suzi

Get four pieces of 2' by 2' plexy glass. ON either side put a circle of peanut butter. Have eight people (4 girls, 4 boys) come down and lick the peanut butter off.
-Jourdan

Last year, on the day of the Homecoming football game against our school's biggest rivals, we got all the principals together, the elementary principal, junior high principal and of course the high school principal, in the gym. Then we put their names in a hat and drew one out. The high school principal's name was drawn, and we duct taped him to the wall. The students loved it, but that isn't all yet. We threw popcorn at the principal's mouth. He had to catch 10 kernels in 60 seconds, if he didn't, he would have had to leave him up there for the rest of the assembly. Since he did, we kept him up for 10 more minutes.
-Kaikamahine

We had a gummy worm eating contest. We had one representative from each class come to the table. Not using their hands, they had to get 5 gummy worms out of the pie plate full of whip cream and put them in a cup. The first person done won.
-Coach

For our school, we had the girls and boys basketball teams line up next to each other. We had the first runners drink an "unknown liquid," (sprite with orange juice and some other weird stuff). Then, they had to put on baby rain coats, with their mouths still full of the liquid, run across the gym and spew it out. Then, they ran back to their team mate who had to repeat the process. It was pretty gross but the crowd thought it was hilarious.
-Vandana We also had a Jell-O eating contest with one person from each grade! They were all guys! We got blue Jell-O for our school colors and the whole crowd was laughing!
-Anonymous

My Freshman year we picked one guy from each sport and told them that we were going to have a licorice eating contest. The first guy that could make it to the end of his licorice got a kiss from a cheerleader. They were blind folded, and when they started we changed the cheerleaders with there Moms. The guys were sad that they didn't get a kiss from a cheerleader, but they thought it was a riot also. It got the crowd going and it was funny.
-Raymie M.

At this years last pep rally we had a some what pie eating contest. We took all the senior football players and made them sit down. We blindfolded them and told all but one player not to eat the pie. His was the only real pie. When we yelled "GO" everyone started to cheer and then laugh because the one kid was going all out to finish his pie first. It really got the crowd hyped!!
-Christine

We took 1 person from each grade and sat them down on chairs. We took a fishing pole and stuck a gummy worm to it with a string. Then, we blindfolded them. The cheerleaders stood behind them and dangled the gummy worms around. The first person to find the gummy worm with their tongue and ate it, won.
-Katie H.

We called a boy and a girl down from each class and had them stand in front of a cheerleader who had two pie pans full of flour. There was a piece of bubble gum under the pile of flour and the first class to have both members blow a bubble won.
-Mallory

We had 4 boys and 4 girls come out and have a caramel apple eating contest. The only problem was that one of the apples was really a caramel onion. The guy that was eating the onion kept on going. It was so sick! We had to tell the crowd what was going on and they almost threw up, but they got a big laugh out of it.
-Elisa

The cheerleaders picked 4 people out of the stands and told them to take a drink of Sprite or ginger-ale (don't swallow it) and then put an Alka-Seltzer pill in their mouth. The fizz from the pill and the Sprite makes it really hard to hold it in your mouth. Whoever can keep the Alka-Seltzer and the Sprite in their mouth the longest ( believe me it's hard) wins. This game is very funny and got our school pumped for that night's football game.
-Shanna

For our first pep rally of the year we had a pudding contest. Two people from each class had to eat the pudding from diapers. So it wasn't really like eating pudding. The crowd thought it was soo funny!! It's a good activity to get the crowd excited!
-Elisa

We had a wrestling tournament coming up in a few days, so we had a wrestling assembly. For one of the games, we got a kiddie's swimming pool and filled it up with Jello. ( All of us cheerleaders had to make like 9 or 10 big boxes of Jello to fill the pool up.) Then we had two of the wrestlers going to the tournament come down and wrestle in the Jello. Our crowd was so stoked! They loved it. The wrestlers were all slimy and it was just so fun!
-Hayley

At one of our pep rallies we picked a bunch of boy basketball players and a really cool teacher. We blind-folded the teacher and acted like we blind folded the players. Then all the players got off the court as we brought out a pie, like it was a pie eating contest. After we said go the teacher ate the pie as fast as he could. When we took off the blind-fold, he was the only one on the court. It was so funny!!
-Angie

One of my favorite games to play at pep rallies is the baby bottle game. Fill a baby bottle with Kool-Aid and see who can drink it the fastest. You can also trick some of the people by using lemon juice.
-Tiffany

One year, we lined up 2 tables and they MUST have a table cloth because between the tables you put a person hidden with a pie. Line up boxes (about six) on the table with misc. food under the first couple boxes before the hidden person. We picked some players from the team and told them that they had to go through them as fast as they could, the fastest wins. Take the other players out of the room and the first guy starts out. Then obviously when he gets to the hidden person he gets socked with a pie. Just make sure he gets a little cleaned up before the next guy comes in!
-Kelli

Get two students from each grade. One person out of the two from each grade puts shaving cream all over their face (make sure you make it really thick. DON'T RUB IT IN...) then the other person gets a bag of hot cheetos. The object of the game is to throw hot Cheetos to their partners face. First team to get five stuck wins! Its really funny and a lot of fun. You can also make two little banners for the winners that say hot Cheeto winner and put flames all over it.
